It was the year we won our first adult in 35 years. The year our Intermediate team reached the quarter final. Indeed 2019 was a good one for the club and on Friday, January 31 we will celebrate it.
Not long now until all our age groups are back up and running for the 2020 season. For those that are not back training already, we will have start dates later in the week. We can’t wait to get going, welcome our young players back and welcome plenty of new faces too.
Former Meath maestro Martin O’Connell has been named a manager of the club’s intermediate team for the forthcoming season. He will be joined on the sidelines by selectors Neil Reynolds and Declan McDonnell.
Walterstown star Zoe Harte has been named as the Meath LGFA U14 captain for 2020, while her club mates Abbie Farrelly and Grace Deegan have also made it on to the final panel.
On Saturday night (December 21) we got the chance to look back on and celebrate a hugely successful year for our juvenile teams at the annual presentation night in the clubhouse.
