Our First Farm Walk took place on Saturday and was a great success and was something the kids really enjoyed. Big thanks to all the local farmer’s who assisted in making the event possible. The kids enjoyed it , some even brought home bags of spuds, not something that would happen in a Dublin Club. !!!

Cathal & Mary Lenehan and Family.

Christy & Mary Reynolds and Family.

Pat & Attracta Reynolds and Family .

For allowing over 125 members of our juvenile teams and parents to enjoy a Saturday morning stroll through their lands , yards and businesses.

The 3 families put on a great morning of demonstrations, information & Questions and Answers for the kids on what rural / modern farming is all about .

For the full walk there wasn’t a child heard giving out that they were too tired or bored, good indicator 🙂

At each Farm the crowd were given a farm tour , show and tell on its produce and some samples to take home, along with goody bags , chocolate milk, Tayto Crisps (which were all kindly donated by the farmers themselves). Paddy Reynolds showed off his All Ireland winning medals and his All star along with his father’s ones.

Also a big thanks to Ian and all his gang for getting so many parents to help out with the supervision of the morning, and to all the parents that donated goodies for the party back in the club afterwards.

Regards, and thanks again to the families involved,
