In a game that had a delayed start, Walterstown came out strongest scoring 1-02 in the first 15 minutes to build up an early 5 point lead. Don/Ashbourne opened their scoring on the 15th minute when they hit the back of the net however Walterstown scored a goal a minute later through S.Irwin to put the gap back to 5. Don/Ashbourne scored their first point of the game on the 20th minute but he blacks once again responded strongly by adding 2 points before half time to leave the half time score Walterstown 2-4 v Donaghmore/Ashbourne 1-1.

Walterstown started the 2nd half the strongest with 2 early points from C.O’Reilly and B’O’Connell. After a long delay in play due to an injury to a Don/Ashbourne player, Don/Ashbourne added 2 points to their tally to cancel out the 2 early scores from Walterstown. The blacks continued to dominate in the second half scoring 1-05 and with Don/Ashbourne only managing to add 2 further points Walterstown ran out convincing winners on a scoreline of Walterstown 3-11 v Don/Ashbourne 1-05
