On a glorious day in Dunganny , with not a cloud in the sky and the temperature nudging the 20’s, Walterstown faced naFianna in the Div 2 Shield Final.
During the first half the teams were closely matched, na Fianna always had a 2 to 3 point lead, and Walterstown worked hard to keep in touch. Na Fianna however struck with a point and a goal two minutes before half time to extend their lead to 6 points.

After the break a goal from Walterstowns number 12, Aoife Keegan, 3mins in, once again reeled Na Fianna’s lead but alas from then on Na Fianna took control of the games and in the end had a comfortable win.
