Walterstown played Royal Gaels at home in round 7 of their league campaign on Saturday morning.

 
After a tentative start Sinead Traynor opened the scoring with a  well taken point. Walterstown soon found their rhythm as Lauren Genocchi added two more from half forward before Sinead Donnellan fired over from a tight angle. Royal Gaels responded with a point of their own before Alex Byrne and Aimee Kilroy rounded off the first half with two more points.
 
The second half started with more pressure from Walterstown,  but there were no scores for ten minutes. The Walterstown back line , led by Katelyn mc Cabe were in no mood to concede in the second half . Katelyn won every ball she challenged for,with Rosanna o Neill making some key blocks. In the final ten minutes the girls moved up a gear with Annie Martin and Emma Deegan dominating in midfield. Sarah Jane Lyons beat two defenders before firing the games opening goal in to the top corner. Sarah Jane added another goal and two points to give the girls a comfortable win.
