Our under 14’s were asked up to Parnells Gaa club in Coolock to take part in a game as part of the club’s 100 year celebration of 1916. Parnells were Dublin county champions that year and marked the occasion with a game for all their underage and adult teams.
Our lads did themselves and the club proud. We played some great football and were only three points behind at half time but with tired legs kicking in (the same group of lads played a league game yesterday afternoon) the boys just couldn’t keep the effort up and Parnells ran out winners in the end.
The boys were presented with lovely medals to mark the occasion and we were treated extremely well with dinner afterwards in their fantastic clubhouse. We would like to thank Dave Feeney and everyone at Parnells who invited us up and made us feel very welcome.
