It wasn’t to be for the U16 Boys as they faced St Colmcilles in Pairc Tailteann in the Division 2 League final on Monday evening. It was a close first half with both sides swapping the lead, and with St Colmcilles taking a 2 point lead into the break.

6 minutes into the second half the sides were all square again, but it didn’t last long a Comcilles , who looked and were very dangerous upfront got their 3rd goal 7 mins in. The game was still finally balanced but 2 goals in 2 minutes for Cilles on 5o and 51 minutes left Walterstown chasing the game, add to that a keeper for Cilles who made several fine stops including a fine double stop as time was running out.
