Walterstown U12 Girls celebrated on Sunday evening, 14th May, after receiving fantastic new training gear courtesy of Velux Company Ltd.
Meath U16 players Kate McCarthy and Molly Browne presented the girls with their new jerseys, shorts, half zips, socks and gear bags. Chris Foy, father of Keelin Foy who plays on the team, works with Velux Company Ltd and said his company made no hesitation in sponsoring the team who are now through to the Meath division two semi-finals.
The girls have been together for the past two years and have worked extremely hard to get to where they are. The team train consistently twice a week with their coaches Joey Farrelly, Chris Harte, Kevin McKenna and John McFadden, all of whom work tirelessly to give the girls the skills and confidence to play to their full potential. And of course, behind all these great men is Niamh Harte who does all the administration and organized the incredible new gear. The team is now looking smart, ready for the semi-final and hopefully will make it all the way in becoming Meath division two champions!
