Aileen O Sullivan then bagged Walterstowns first goal , and almost immediately scored a second only to see her effort come off the crossbar.

After the break Walterstown brought on the fresh legs of the younger players and the scores started to build up .Marie McCarthy continued her good form with two fine goals , and Mollie Brown making her championship debut also increased Walterstowns lead. A late penalty awarded to Trim , which the blacks keeper Caroline Murray got her hands to but couldn’t keep out , and also a late point for Trim could not hide the fact that Walterstown were by far the better team on the night.
Final score Trim 1:05 Walterstown 3:12
It was a great team performance from the ladies who ran the game front start to end and gave their manager Justin McCarthy a birthday present he definitely was proud of.
