Páirc Tailteann was host to the 2021 Championship Draws yesterday (Sunday), as clubs waited with bated breath to discover their opponents for the heat of action in August.

In the Intermediate Football Championship Walterstown were pitted against Syddan, Meath Hill and Oldcastle in Group C. Martin O’Connell’s men will face Syddan in the opening round.

Our second team, under the guidance of Robbie Barrett, will compete in the Premier Championship Division 3. Also in the division are Moynalvey, Dunderry, Drumconrath, Dunsany, Donaghmore/Ashbourne, Carnaross, Clonard and Duleek-Bellewstown. Walterstown get their campaign off when they meet the latter in round one.

Our third team, known as our development squad, find themselves in Division 8 of the Premier Championship and the will open with a trip to Dunshaughlin. Also in Division 8 are Slane, St Brigid’s, St Colmcilles, Blackhall Gaels, Kilmainhamwood, Navan O’Mahonys and Ratoath. Our development squad are managed by Paul McCarthy, while Aidan McCague and Owen Sullivan are his selectors.
