The club are delighted to report that juvenile players (from U5 level up to and including U18 level) can return to training from Monday, April 26, 2021 subject to the prevailing public health situation.

Our young players can return on a non-contact basis, outdoors and will be permitted to train in pods of 15 or fewer. We are currently awaiting any further guidelines from the GAA and LGFA once we have those we will communicate them clearly to our juvenile parents.

Walterstown GFC are currently working extremely hard behind the scenes to ensure that our facilities are ready for a safe return to play. All teams will have their own Covid Supervisors and all equipment will be sanitised before and after each training session. We will also stagger training sessions to eliminate the congregation of too many people on our grounds at the one time.

Parents will be furnished with the 2021 training times for each team in the coming days and it will also be published here on our website and on our social media channels. As always, new members are always welcome to join Walterstown GFC.

Can parents please note that before the return to play. all children must be members of the club, otherwise they are not insured to train with us. You can view membership details and pay your membership here

Finally, we are so excited to welcome our juvenile players back to Walterstown GFC. It has been a long and difficult winter for us all and the sound of children’t laughter back at the club will be just the tonic we need. It can’t come quick enough at this stage. It sure has been a long time since some of our juvenile presentations back in December 2020!

Should parents need any more information at this point, please contact your child’s coach directly and he or she will be happy to help.

See you all on April 26th!
