The ladies continued their good form with a solid display away to the Tones on Tuesday evening. It was a low scoring game with Mollie Gray netting a goal and 2 points and Brenda O Sullivan scoring a point before the Tones registered their first point some 25 minutes in thanks in the main to the great defending by Walterstown, which they maintained throughout the match. Mollie Grey also saw two efforts come back off the post towards the end of the first Half

Aileen O Sullivan scored a point early in the second half before the opposition scored two points. Further points from Susan McMahon, Marie McCarthy, Kate McCarthy and Mollie Gray saw Walterstown stretch their lead further. When a penalty was awarded to Walterstown in the final stages of the game Mollie Grey opted for the safety of a point to close out the game.
