This must win game started off with Walterstown playing with a strong breeze which they took full advantage of. The opposition keeper was struggling with the kick outs opting for the short ball out, but the lads pressed well, and were soon notching up the points, mainly from Mark McCormack. A goal from Mark Reynolds 5 mins before half time ensured Walterstown had a comfortable 1:09 to 0:03 lead at the interval. Such was the strength of the breeze many wondered if this was a big enough gap. The second half saw Nobber making several substitutions and they started brightly with two well taken points. The breeze certainly eased off during the second half and the lads soon got back into the game and started notching up the points again. Walterstown always kept Nobber at arms length and never really looked like loosing the game and in the end ran out 1:14 to 0:09 winners.

Else where second placed St.Colmcille’s won away to St Ultans which unfortunately meant the lads remain in the division, finishing in third place overall.
