It is with great sadness that the club has learned of the passing of Paul Lanney. Paul won an Under 17 Champiosnhip with Walterstown in 1976. He went on to win three Under 21 Championships with the club in 1978, 1979 and 1980 and was also also part of the panel that tasted Senior Football Championship success. He also won a Junior B title in the black jersey.
Paul later moved to Nobber, where he also immersed himself in GAA activity, while professionally he was best known for running Lanney’s SuperValu in Ardee.
Our sympathies to Paul’s wife Margaret and his sons Barry, Mark and David and to all his extended family.
