The one and only Seamus O’Rourke will take his new production, The Handyman, to Walterstown on Saturday, November 20 and it’s one you don’t want to miss.

In this brand new one-man-show, Seamus O’Rourke’s most recent creation, Hugh Spotten pulls asunder, his rural Irish life. He was the man who got things done – Caretaker, Tea Maker and Grave-Digger (with his own crow-bar). But now, that’s all about to be taken away. ‘There’s no need for the like of that – when you have the likes of this other’… or so he has been told. Why have Community Spirit, when you can pay €3 for a Coffee.

Poetic, chaotic & funny, Hugh Spotten is being ousted out but, he’s not one for lying down. He has to make the world see sense! In this mix of rhyme and reason, O’Rourke manages to re-immerse himself in the fun of theatre and storytelling.

O’Rourke is a familiar face in Walterstown, his last appearance was back in late 2019 when he brought his side-splitting production An Ogeous Brose to the clubhouse. And we are thrilled to be finally able to welcome him back.

The show starts at 8pm and tickets are priced at just €15 each. Contact Mary on 087-2230174 to book yours now or send us a message on Facebook, Instagram on Twitter

Please note that all Covid-19 guidelines will be adhered to on the night and proof of vaccination or recovery from Covid-19 will be required, as per the current Government guidelines.

We look forward to welcoming you all to Walterstown for what promises to be a cracking night’s entertainment.
