Walterstown played Cortown at home on Wednesday night in round 6. Cortown settled down and registered their first point after 13 minutes and contuined on their scoring spree adding 1-01 to leave the sides level after 20 minutes Walterstown got their next 2 points from Richie Barry and Christopher Farrelly. Cortown added another point on the 23rd minute Paul Donnellan, Christopher Farrelly and Alban Crosbie added the last 3 points of the first half to leave Walterstown going in at half time with a 4 point lead.

Walterstown got the first point of the second half when Richie Barry converted a close in free with just 2 minutes gone, Cortown scored the next 2 points to leave them 3 points behind with 38 minutes gone in the game. The game was nip and tuck over the next few minutes as Robbie Mc Donnell and Richie Barry scored points for Walterstown and Cortown scored points of their own to still leave the Blacks leading by 3 with 44 minutes gone.Walterstown took control of the game over the last 14 minutes as Richie Barry, Paul Donnellan and Ruairi O Dowd fired over points Christopher Farrelley added a goal and a point and Sub Christopher Reynolds scored the last point of the game to give Walterstown a convincing win.
