It has been confirmed that our Meade Farm Intermediate Football Championship Quarter Final fixture against Blackhall Gaels will take place on Saturday, October 9 at 4.30pm in Ratoath.

Walterstown booked their place in the last eight when they got the better of Clann na nGael by just two points in the preliminary quarter final, which took place in Navan on Saturday, September 25. An early second half goal from Sam McCabe proved to be the crucial score as the Blacks prevailed on a 1-13 to 1-11 scoreline the last day out.

The Blacks will be hoping to avenge an earlier season defeat to Blackhall Gaels. Martin O’Connell’s charge fell to Blackhall in the Corn na Boinne competition back in June. The final score that day was 2-15 to 2-10.

Walterstown will welcome back Barry O’Connell for the quarter final, while it is also hoped Robbie Cunningham will be available for selection.

Ticket details and the link to purchase will be published as soon as they are available.
